Fresno COG Policy Board Approves 2026 Measure C Funding Priorities and Allocations

On November 20, the Fresno COG Policy Board voted to approve the recommended 2026 Measure C allocations — a decision shaped directly by the voices, stories, and priorities of Fresno County taxpayers.

This is a victory for parents, students, seniors, workers, business owners, and taxpayers who have shown up for months for a transportation future that is safer, fairer, and more accountable.

The allocations reflect priorities of thousands of taxpayers who completed surveys, attended meetings, asked questions, and insisted that public dollars are spent on public needs.

The allocations received 93% support from the Steering Committee earlier this month, demonstrating broad support for One County, One Plan. And now, with Policy Board approval, the community’s vision for a transportation future that works for everyone is being honored and carried forward.

We want to express our appreciation to the elected officials who listened to taxpayers and accepted the responsibility of designing a transportation system that serves every corner of Fresno County. Their support for this One County, One Plan signals a commitment to repairing neighborhood roads, improving public transit, creating safer ways to walk, bike, and roll, and ensuring every city — large or small — receives a fair share of resources.

This is a huge milestone worth celebrating. We are just one stop away from the finish line and invite those committed to moving forward together to join the remaining collective efforts underway to get a measure on the 2026 ballot that we can all support.

The work ahead is just as important as the work that brought us here. The Implementing Guidelines, which outline how our tax dollars are rolled out, tracked, and accounted for over the next 30 years, will shape whether this measure will truly fulfill the promises made to voters. Clear metrics, transparent reporting, community oversight, and strong fairness protections are essential to ensure that every taxpayer benefits from this $7.4 billion investment.

Transportation for All will continue showing up to make sure the 2026 Measure C delivers the transportation future we deserve.
